FAQ’S

Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club and Banksia Beach State School’s Superhero Fun Run is a FUN day out, so first things first… don’t stress!  We’ve covered all bases and answered the most common questions for Fun Runs. What distances are available?
Our Fun Run caters for many levels of fitness and experience, so the key is to choose the distance that you are comfortable with. Our two distances offered are 3km and 5km around Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club Course.

How much does it cost?

How does PHGCC benefit from the event?
Our charity partner, Banksia Beach State School receive funds from the event via the generous fundraising efforts of our participants. A percentage of registration fees goes towards event planning, organisation and event delivery.

What time do the events start?
6am
 – Carpark opens 6.15am – Registration area open to public, please refer to email (sent 48 hours prior to event) for your wave time 7.00am – First wave of runners. Please note that we cannot guarantee the exact start times of the event’s itinerary. As hosts we will attempt to follow below format to a tee however should any unexpected outcomes occur we ask that you stand-by, superheroes.

Is the event timed?
No, this is a FUN RUN. Our goal is to be active outdoors and have fun with our fellow superheroes.

Is there somewhere to store my bag?
If you have a bag & personal belongings you can leave these at our designated bag drop area located by the registration tent.

Can I run with my friend?
If you want to participate with your friend side by side, that is totally fine – just make sure you both enter the same distance and select the same preferred start time.

Can I enter in my family?
Yes we do team entries! Teams for both the 3km & 5km require 2 adults over the age of 18 and 2 children under the age of 18. Children under 5 years of age are free. Strollers and similar devices are allowed on course however must meet Australian Safety Standards and have appropriate safety restraints.

What should I wear?
A superhero costume of course! However we recommend choosing sun safe clothing and a soft soled running shoe.

Can bystanders watch the Fun Run?
Yes! We have designated areas around the course for bystanders, aka civilians, to stand and watch. Seating will not be supplied in these areas however you are more than welcome to pull up your own chair and watch.

My pet has super powers… can he/she come too?
YES… on the condition he/she is on their best behaviour infront of young children, must be restrained (leash), any doggy do-do’s must be removed from the event grounds. Not mandatory, but a superhero outfit would be adorable!
