PACIFIC HARBOUR GOLFERS PERFORM WELL AT THE 2017 CENTARA WORLD MASTERS GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP IN THAILAND

Four Pacific Harbour golfers earned podium finishes at the recent Centara World Masters golf event held in Thailand.  The Tournament is played in 15 divisions based on age and handicap. Congratulations to Tony Kennedy (1st in M65+ C Grade), Peter Brown (2nd in M 65+ A Grade), Tom Whitney (3rd in M 55-64 B Grade) and Eric Butler (3rd in M 65+ B Grade).  Linda Harrison, Garry and Viv Goulett, Sue Sinsawas and Colleen Whitney also waved the Pac Harbour flag, and competed well in their respective grades.  In a self-organized event within the main event, The Pacific Harbour ‘team’ beat a team from Pacific GC (Brisbane), to win the inaugural Trans Pacific Challenge.

Now in its fourth year, this year’s event attracted over 500 visitors from 23 countries, who converged on the resort town of Hua Hin to participate in a week-long celebration of golf, social and entertainment events as well as contend for over $US30, 000 in golf prizes. Golfers played 2 rounds at the two best golf courses in Hua Hin, Black Mountain Golf Club and Banyan Golf Club.   The tournament website www.ThailandWorldMasters.com has scores for all players, as well as event photos.
