The Ross Watson designed island links course quickly became the ‘must play’ course of South East Queensland, with an opening ranking of ‘#6 public access course in Australia’ and ‘Best new public access course in Queensland’ (Golf Australia, Feb 2007).

Brendan James of Golf Australia said “Watson has every right to be happy. He has produced a layout that will bring great amounts of pleasure to the greatest number of people” shortly after the course opening.
